Overview
Panguitch Lake is at an elevation of 8,400 feet and is surrounded by Ponderosa pines, aspens and spruce. It has a 10 mile shoreline and offers year round access for fishing, boating, hiking, ATVing and winter sports.
Location and Information
Panguitch Lake is 43 miles east of Cedar City and 18 miles southwest of Panguitch. From the I-15, go east on Hwy 9 east from St George through Zion. Turn left onto Hwy 89 north into Panguitch then follow Hwy 143 southwest to Panguitch Lake.

Fishing
Panguitch Lake offer excellent fishing from the shore or by boat. Anglers catch Rainbow trout, Cutthroat trout, Brook trout, and Brown trout. The lake has a convenient fish-cleaning station. In the winter it is possible to go ice fishing.
Boating
Panguitch Lake has two public boat ramps. Small boats are available for rent.
Wildlife Viewing
Deer and elk can be spotted late in the day near Panguitch Lake UT.
