A few scenic drives in southern Utah offer little to be desired in the way of scenic vistas and remote wilderness. Highway 14 skirts Cedar Breaks National Monument and Navajo Lake while Highway 12 runs through Red Canyon, Bryce Canyon, Boulder Mountain, Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument and Capitol Reef National Park. The Burr Trail is a fun side trip, not for the faint of heart. Off road drives like Cottonwood Canyon and Hole in the Rock are for the true driving adventurers.
